Purpur double slabs drop nothing when broken

I broke a double purpur slab in survival with a diamond pickaxe. It dropped absolutely nothing. a single slab when broken dropped a slab though.
It should have dropped two slabs.
To recreate this you can place two slabs to make a full block and break it in survival.
