I try to log into server version 14w31c and get am returned with an internal exception that says the JSON is malformed at line 1 column 1. Some other players that have tried to join the server get on for a while then start to experience the error as well.

The world was not loaded in 15w31a and was in 15w31b but the same error occured.

So it was taken from 1.8 directly into 15w31c and it does the same error? How large is the world file.

It went from 1.8.7 to 15w31b then to 15w31c. The world file is 967 megabytes.

Was the map played in 15w31a or b? If so please try loading a backup before snapshots or making a new world and see if the issue persists.
