Giants have no AI when summoned. They just stand there and act like Mojang's Dev's. Haha, get it? No but seriously, they do. Why would the AI be pulled, leaving a viable game option utterly useless, when no alternative system was ready to be added in place?

How is a game feature, as in, something you are allowed to do in the game without any kind of modding, not supported? If it is in the game, which is provided by Mojang, it is supported. You do understand how ridiculous that is right? But, that is the laziest way out of fixing something I guess.

From MC-48071
Giants and Skeleton/Zombie Horses are currently unsupported mobs that are not fully implemented. They were created as a test-base for proof of concept on alternate styles of mobs.
Functionality of Giants at this time may be limited compared to other mobs due to this.

Well that's interesting... I see no Skeleton/Zombie horse in the summon auto-complete... so I would guess those are unsupported, but guess what, Giant is listed in the list of objects able to be summoned, which Minecraft by default tells me I can. Amazing some something not supported pops up on the list along with all the supported items... is there an official 'Not Supported' list I can look at from Mojang?

@CJ Skeleton/zombie horses are just a different horse type (like you get different colors, donkeys and mules). It's all the same entity, which is why they DO have an AI - they just use horse AI, which means they don't act like monsters. Giants are their own separate thing; internally they aren't even close to being the same thing as zombies. Therefore they have nothing to take a base AI from.
Giant is not supported.
