Basically entities are disappearing again. This issue was reported back in version 15w32b (MC-85285) and was seemingly fixed by Searge in version 15w32c - https://twitter.com/seargedp/status/629692390547320835 - but as I started up a world in the new snapshot and I unloaded and reloaded a chunk with entities in it they vanished.

This is MC-65040

No. maybe it is this Issue... but the title is misleading because the entities are not "invisible" but gone until you relog

Could you tell me which entities disappeared? Some entity types, like mobs, are not supposed to stay in unloaded chunks while other entities, like animals, should not disappear.

Every entity just checked in newest snapshot: I have some ArmorStands in chunks that are loaded through spreadplayers chunk loader but when I leave the chunk and come back all ArmorStands are gone

If you have a world save that can help me to reproduce the issue, please send it to me.
If you don't want to have the world save publicly available, you could create a new, private ticket, mention in the description that it should be kept private to protect the download link and tell me the MC- number of that ticket. Otherwise just attach it to this ticket.

Will do! MC-86143

This has just happened to me. I had a herd of cows, and I went below ground while waiting for the youngsters to grow up so I get leather to make bookcases ... when I returned the herd had halved in number ...
I'm also sure we had more chickens when I first searched the world ...
Game output attached.

I'm sure of it now! I had single sheep in a compound with some chickens and the sheep's gone! (Version 15w36d).

@@unknown Wasn't that MC-23320 ?

This bug is MC-65040.
"maybe it is this Issue... but the title is misleading because the entities are not "invisible" but gone until you relog" - This is exactly what we meant in 65040 by 'invisible'.

Since its a dupe, why is there a fix version listed?

Thanks Onnowhere I didn't understand that correctly 🙂 And Sonic: It got fixed in the latest snapshot (does the changelog say I haven't tried it myself though)
