Map does not display player location

The new snapshot was just released, and when I tried to make a new map, it first showed my location on the new default zoom level. When I extended the map once, it would no longer display my location.
This is my fifth map in my inventory, and is map #34. It is south of the the map of the area I spawned in. I already have maps to the north, west, and east which still properly display player location.
