I placed a repeating command block (facing up) with no command in
On top of that one, a chain command block (facing up) with a /clone ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~1 ~
Then i placed a lever on the bottom one, and activated it, it powered both the chain and the repeating command block, and the structure started copying itself upwards, but after a couple of seconds, i got kicked from the server (private server with 2 players), and after a while the server crashed

it's a localhost, shouldn't it be 512 MB by default? (i didnt use a custom run.bat, just the .jar)
Also: when doing this horizontally it's ok to do it for thousands of blocks, but doing it upwards crashes in a few seconds
Your server ran out of memory. 247MB is not a lot.
