Whenever the missing item texture is rendered in 3D, such as when it is being held by an entity or dropped as an item, It will render at the same proportions as a normal block, no matter the circumstances.
What I expected was:The missing item texture would render as normal, with normal scale and proportions.
What actually happened was:
the missing item texture rendered at full block proportions, no matter how it was being expressed in the 3D world away from the quiet serenity of the inventory.
-give yourself the missing item texture (I used "/give @p minecraft:command_block 1 2").
-throw it on the ground or hold it in your hand.
-observe how awestruck all the other items are to see the missing item texture towering over them at full-block proportions.
For the sake of fairness if nothing else, please fix this!
This will not be fixed, as those data values on those items (what causes you to get it) aren't supposed to be obtained
