When I was in the end for about 10mins, there were so many enderman my game nearly crashed. Enderman would not despawn and they just kept spawning in. When I tried /kill@e[type=Enderman] it only killed about 50 enderman.
You can see in my f3 window there were over 2000 enderman spawned

Is this still an issue in 15w45a? If so, please explain the issue in detail and provide steps to reproduce it. Please also update the list of affected versions.

This doesn't seem to happen in 15w46a, however the enderdragon was pretty much impossible to kill because it would regenerate even though I destroyed all the towers, so this could be a problem because one person reported that this happened after the enderdragon died, and I noticed the same thing.
So I'm not too sure if this issue still exists ironically because I can't test it because of another bug.

Confirmed. Had it happened on me on LAN. Only temp fix will possibly stay in peaceful, or do "/gamerule doMobSpawning false" in chat. If still around, you may need to relog the world.
