cannot attatch leads to skeleton horses

What I expected to happen was...:
to attach my new boney companion(rescued from the captivity of a skeleton knight) to a fence post while I made a nametag for him

What actually happened was...:
I instead hopped on the back of my friend rather than attach a lead to him as expected

Steps to Reproduce:
1. find a skeleton horse
2. attempt to attach a lead to him/her/it
3. bug... maybe.
