Odd Resource Pack Lag

Before I begin, keep in mind that when I say "Windows 10", I do not mean this is a bug in "Minecraft Windows 10" version. This is a bug in the normal Minecraft.

Alright, so what happens is, whenever I turn on ANY resource pack, the game has a lag spike every 15 or so seconds. It does not matter whether I allocate more memory, reduce my settings, or anything. However, right when I turn off the resource pack, it's perfectly fine. My computer is pretty good and can run Minecraft at well over 150 fps constantly, so I have no idea why this happens. Also, whenever I do have on a resource pack, in the amount of time before the lag spike, I get normal fps.

Next, this only happens in Windows 10, I reverted back to Windows 8 and it worked fine. No problems at all.

P.S. I have updated my graphics drivers, allocated more memory, etc.

Can you attach a sample resource pack? And what resolution pack do you typically try? It's fairly common to get lag when applying it, since the textures have to be loaded and buffered into virtual and video memory.

I actually just figured out that it is the resolution, I can load up and use default edit packs perfectly fine, however the thing I still don't understand is how the higher resolutions run just like the default edits on Windows 8, but they completely die on Windows 10.

Here's a resource pack that it happens with: http://adf.ly/1BRl2Z
I have tried multiple resource packs of the same resolution though, so I doubt it's the resource pack's fault.

While having this issue:

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to this ticket.

Probably a driver issue. I know you say you updated your graphics drivers already, but I'd recommend completely uninstalling and reinstalling if possible. I'm assuming you followed the standard upgrade path from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Upgrading can sometimes cause driver compatibility issues or even just slow things down.

I have attached the crash report. Techy4198, I'm going to let them look at the crash report, then if whatever they say doesn't work, I'll try that. Thanks!

Please recreate the issue without mods, else this report is invalid.
