I have an entity called "[Quest] Inn Keeper" and it is on the team "quest" with a color of light_purple. When I unload it (TP a couple hundered blocks away) then reload it (TP back.) it is kicked off the team and scoreboards are lost.
Command used to spawn the villager:
/summon Villager 150 95 -177 {Tags:["pathFinder","north","tagDir"],CustomName:"-[Quest]- Inn Keeper",Profession:2,Silent:1,NoAI:1,Team:"quest"}
When I did an entitydata within a radius of 3 right next to it, the console said:
That entity cannot be found
That entity cannot be found
That entity cannot be found
That entity cannot be found
That entity cannot be found
...10 more
And before I summoned the villager there, there were no entities whatsoever!

Doesn't happen for me. Can you provide a video?

Here's the video >>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO51yT-3qQU

Still cannnot reproduce. Since the video doesn't show it, can you please provide the commands you used to summon the villager and put it on the team? Alternatively, a world download could be useful.

/summon Villager 150 95 177 {Tags:["pathFinder","north","tagDir"],CustomName:"[Quest]- Inn Keeper",Profession:2,Silent:1,NoAI:1,Team:"quest"}

Still cannot reproduce, but I'm leaving it open. Maybe someone else can make sense of it.

This has been left open, but still no help from other "[Mod]"s, any feedback would be great

Two things that could help:
Does this also happen with villagers without names or special characters in their name?
Can you attach the affected world to this ticket?

I managed to reproduce this 1 time out of the 5, trying again to attach screenshots

got them, seems like I had to not be in spectator for this to happen

Confirmed for 1.11, I have reproduced with over 60 villagers in my world.

About why it relates to MC-102348 :
One of the cause is that villagers can schedule village door check that occur right between the chunk unload and entities update.
As said in the comments of MC-96131, any use of World.getBlockState can be a cause of chunk reload in the same tick, so this issue could be caused but other things beside door check and commands.

Confirmed for 1.13.1.

Confirmed for 19w03c
Also confirmed with slimes

Confirmed for 1.13.2 and 1.14 pre-1

Entities don't seem to loose their scores when being teleported to unloaded chunks, but they do loose them when entering the nether now (1.15.2)

@@unknown, that is MC-161592.

Is this still an issue in 1.16.3 or later?

Confirmed for 1.16.3, as well as for scoreboard tags (/tag
command).

Confirmed for 1.16.5 and now I want to jump off a (Minecraft?) cliff

@unknown & @unknown 1.16.3 & 1.16.5 is no longer a valid testing version please test this in 1.17.1 or the latest snapshot
