When you use the /time command (which I set up in a command block) on minecraft realms, it resets the local difficulty to zero. This is quite a pain as just before I created this command we were on day 52 on hard and more than half way to maximum difficulty.
Obviously I would have not made this command had I known this would have happened. I think a good solution would be to allow access to change local difficulty via a command also.

I do not play any other multiplayer servers or realms. I only play my own realm. I can confirm that this happens if I type the command /time or use in a command block. I do not currently have any single player worlds, however I will create one today and try to repeat this there too.
To further describe my issue, if you refer to the attached photos, you will see that in the 1st picture it is day 14. After the command you can see in the 2nd picture you can also see that now the local difficulty has been reset to day 0.
Edit:
I have tried this in a single player world and can confirm that it also happens there too.
Local difficulty depends on the total age of the world, the age of the chunk, the difficulty setting, and the phase of the moon (in-game, not real life 😉). The time command alters the world age. This will change the day counter, if you're not careful, thus affecting local difficulty. You can set the day to day 14, for instance, with the command "/time set 336000".
Does MC-50936 describe your issue? Does your issue occur on non-Realms servers as well?
