[MC-92915] Items & blocks appear transparent and/or gray when picked up

All items and blocks appear transparent when picked up. Gray-scale items, such as grass, appear gray as in their texture files.

Can confirm this behaviour; seems to happen with all items, no matter what picking up. Vanilla minecraft with no resource pack.
