Hoppers delete fuel from furnace when pushing items into the furnace

Whenever a hopper puts something into the top slot of a furnace, the fuel disappears.

Edit: I didn't mean to post this... Is there a way to delete it?
Anyway, I found out this doesn't always happen - once it happens it happens reliably, every time. But if you replace the furnace, there's a good chance everything will work fine.
