[MC-9368] 8 layers of snow cover looks identical to a snow block, but it cannot be pushed by piston.

What I tried:
Push 8 layers of snow cover with a piston.

What I expected was:
for 8 layers of snow cover to act like a snow block, and be pushed by the piston.

What actually happened was:
The piston destroyed the 8 layers of snow.

Thanks, I did see that ..

I'm confused as to how exactly MC-8797 was resolved. It was described there that layers disappear when you remove the supporting layer, and it was marked as fixed by 13w06a. Yet no snow behavior at all (let alone the behavior described) was actually changed. And since no behavior was changed, I made some other snow reports that I considered to be different from 8797.
