I was in a village, in a flat world, in creative mod. I started burning and exploding it just for fun and then I burned a villager. He was burning, so I wanted to push him out of the fire to turn it off, but he didn't move. I was hitting him, he was taking damage and he was burning, but for some kind of reason he didn't had knockback. I was playing in a local world, no multiplayer or anything weird. I'm not sure if this bug is also in other Minecraft versions, but when I discovered it, I was in 1.8.9. I had Optifine installed (even tough I don't really need it) but that mod doesn't changes anything of that kind. Also, if it's useful for you to know it: I wasn't lagging in the game, so the villager SHOULD move. I tried this with all other villagers, naturally spawned by the world and by me, but the same happened. It was running like to 120 FPS. Thank you for your attention. PLEASE EXCUSE ME IF I HAVE ANY KIND OF ERROR IN THE BUG'S DESCRIPTION ORTOGRAPHY, I'M NOT A NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER. :DD

Redstonehelper, Optifine doesn't modifies any kind of villager stuff. And, Kumasasa, I eliminated the world but, if you can I can do it again, and send it to you.

Then you should have no trouble reproducing the issue in the unmodified version of the game. Anyway, I don't think this is a bug: Mobs, including villagers, can only take damage every so often. If they're taking fire damage that might prevent you from hitting them.
Please zip and attach the world here.
