Strange Village Generation (Half-Houses and -Gardens)

I was flying around in Creative looking for generated structures, when I came upon a village. Immediately I noticed something was seriously up. Many houses and gardens were split in half, or even fourths. Even some gravel roads were missing random pieces! I've seen other generated structures overwrite villages before, but I've NEVER seen anything like this.

UPDATE: I created an identical world and teleported to the village in question, and this time it was fine, so I have absolutely NO idea what went wrong the last time. The only difference I can think of is that I physically flew to the glitch village, and this time I teleported.
