if you trade any ingots with a villager and take some the same ingots from the creative inventory, you cant combine them. The Video will show you what i mean...

Looks like a custom trade. Can you press F3+H in Minecraft and see if the datavalues are the same for both types? Should say something like #0265 and not #0265/0
