The subtitle produced from climbing is the same as walking.
Steps to Reproduce:
Build the setup as shown in the attachment below.
Ensure that you have subtitles enabled in your accessibility settings.
Climb the ladders and look at the subtitles overlay as you do this.
Take note as to whether or not the subtitle produced from climbing is the same as walking.
Observed Behavior:
The subtitle produced from climbing is the same as walking.
Expected Behavior:
The subtitle produced from climbing would not be the same as walking. Instead, it should be displayed as something like "Climbing", to accurately reflect the sounds being produced.

yes, so are the zombie, skeleton and other stepping sounds, they all say "footsteps"

I am able to confirm this behavior in 21w38a. Here are some extra details regarding this problem.

→ ❌ Notice how the "Footsteps" subtitle is displayed when climbing blocks.
Expected Behavior:
The expected behavior would be that the "Footsteps" subtitle would not be displayed when climbing blocks. Instead, it should be displayed as something like "Climbing".
Can confirm in 21w42a. I'd like to request ownership of this ticket since the current reporter has been inactive for over a year. I've willing to continue to provide all of the necessary information and will keep this report updated.
