It just happened, it was fine but then I try to use a new snapshot or something and then all sound is gone. I even get a lot of these "[15:31:53] [Client thread/WARN]: Missing sound for event:" in the launcher. I've deleted and redownloaded minecraft and even that doesn't fix it. I also forced a crash, hopefully the info from that will help too.

The sound files are missing.
Reinstall those by the procedure described in MC-2249
If that won't help, please use the Mojang Support Center.
Please attach the complete output of the "Game Output (Your Minecraft name) " which can be found on the fourth tab of the launcher to this ticket.
If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".
