Alright. Im making a minigame with the new 1.9 command blocks (they are pretty powerful). And as i am expanding the game more and more. Me and the testers are noticing a good amount of delay (personaly i dont really call it lag) for a short while now. And im suspecting the amount of command blocks(especialy the blue repeater ones) to be the cause.
The point is:the server isnt really showing a need of ram. I have never hosted a public server. So maybe theres something i dont know to increase server power besides ram. But its only using ~10-20% of 2gb it has currently allowcated. Increasing it to 4gb has no noticable effect
The second thing i have been noticing (but are quite rare) is weird redstone behavior.
For example: lets say you remove a life of the player if hes standing at its spawn point and then teleport them away, using the new chain command blocks. So it should only happen once
What actually happens is that it removes 30-40 lifes, and then teleport them away. Even through its a chain command block
I also want to note the server is spitting out a lot of "server cant keep up. Did system time change?" Messages

Alright. Was just wondering if the new command blocks had a weird glitch in them. Guess we have to wait for the full release to see if it gets fixed :x
EDIT: also. The odd glitch. Is that also a peformance issue?, because so far i can see is that redstone/commandblock order should remain the same. No matter how slow the actual server runs
The first thing to note, is that RAM has little to do with performance, and allocating more can, if anything, reduce performance, if it's excessive. What you describe is server-side lag (as opposed to client-side where FPS drops). Either way though, your issue would be a technical support issue, and not a bug. There are several reports about performance issues though, so it's likely these will be corrected before the full release.
