[MC-96992] Spectator and disappearing spread command

When spectating a player, running the spread player command

/spreadplayers -380 210 0 1000000000 false NAME

while following them though there perspective, I get stuck in place, and trying to use the spectator menu to teleport to the player does not work. Dismounting does not do anything, and when teleporting to the player, they are still invisible. The only way to see them again it seems is to have them reconnect.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.

Tested in 18w03a and got interesting results. Neither the spectator nor the player being spectated from moved visually, but the server immediately froze. The spectator was unable to move or open menus, etc.

After a while every player was disconnected for a time out, and 10092 .mca files were created in the region folder.
