Now i love the physics of elytra wings, but theres one teeny tiny part of if that bothers me.
If you fly straight ahead slightly down a bit, you will gain speed, being able to pull higher if you wanted to.
If you fly straight down, and pull up in a way where it wont ruin all the speed, you wont be able to pull up as high as even if you were to fly straight.
Let \ _ | and / present the way someone is flying in a 2d perspective. Sorry for not having video to show this...Should make that a thing as well...
So going
(flying down):\\\
(gliding forward for a while near the ground not facing up): ___
(pulling up)://
would get you the best speed.
While doing an mlg looking
(straight down)|||
(gliding for a while near the ground not facing up) ___
(slowly going up) ///
It seems the height you get is depending on the bpc (blocks per chunk)
Itd be great if you can add the chunks that you pass through when going straight down. Good job with the snapshot tho, cant wait till 1.9
The enviroment is only supposed to contain pc details.
