[MC-97261] Sneak when open inventory

i know in the last snapshot when you sneak and when you open your inventory you can stay sneak not in 16w07a

you can try type
/scoreboard objectives add sneak stat.sneakTime
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar sneak
and open your inventory you will see the scoreboard don't "move"

What exactly is the bug? You stop sneaking when you open the inventory so naturally the objective would stop increasing. It's been that way since before release 1.0.

yes but in the last snapshot (15w...) when you sneak and open your inventory you still sneak and the objectives was increasing

Which snapshot exactly was it? I tried a handful of the 15w ones and none of them do that, and it was likely a bug that they did that in the first place. If you're referring to MC-86513, the change made from there was to cause your player to start sneaking again after closing the inventory.

You never kept sneaking while having your inventory open. A recent snapshot changed it so that you could keep holding shift and you'd resume sneaking after closing the inventory again.
