Guardians are not appearing in nether

What I expected to happen was...:
The guardians should appear in the nether when they get pushed through the portal.

What actually happened was...:
When pushed through nether portal on realms the guardians are disappearing. The entity count is not going up. It is very low as if nothing has spawned in the nether.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go on realms push a guardian through a nether portal.

  2. Go to the nether.

  3. They will not be there.

I am having the same bug on my private server. Server Console gives the following warnings (over and over):

05.03 21:46:23 [Server] Server thread/WARN Keeping entity VillagerGolem that already exists with UUID 4370d193-3960-4d71-bc4d-9b4db0885253
05.03 21:46:23 [Server] Server thread/WARN Keeping entity MinecartHopper that already exists with UUID 0d2877c2-2ab9-49d6-b53a-d7d388327f0e

While I don't doubt the bug exists, there's no reason the entity count would go up while you're in the overworld. The Nether is unloaded territory when no one is in it. The entity count is only counting entities in loaded chunks.

@Tokes

Yes i know how the entity count works. I meant that when you enter the nether the entity count is very low. Meaning that there are no ghost entities caused by the guardians going into the nether. It is as if they never attempt to spawn in the nether at all.

Confirming that this bug is reproducible in 1.10.2 on Windows 10.

Is this still an issue in Minecraft 1.13.1?
