Since updating to Minecraft 1.9 the resource pack menu lags really badly, none of the other options menu's does this. Its not too important but slightly frustrating.
Steps to reproduce:
1. have a number of resource packs installed
2. just wave your mouse over them with decent speed
3. see that the resource pack arrows are slower then your mouse

The lag comes in a large slow down of cursor movement and general UI responsiveness, as soon as I exit the resource pack menu it stops.
I think I see what you mean, have a number of resource packs installed, and just wave your mouse over them with decent speed, you see the resource pack arrows are slower then your mouse
Exactly, i dont know how slow it was for you, on my end (I have twentyish resource packs for different builds) it was slow enough to really catch my eye and is what brought it to my attention.
I have the exact same problem with the lag, it is soo bad that i can't even select a resource pack. i have to go into 1.8 select the pack then close out and open it in 1.9 to use a resource pack
Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.
Confirmed in 1.11. I've noticed the lag is reduced if more packs are zipped. My lag is so bad I can't leave the menu because it can't register me clicking on anything, EVER
What exactly is the issue? How do you observe the lag?
