Runs slower and slower, then inevitably crashes.

When I load up, the game runs like there's severe lag even in single player. Then after only a few minutes of progressively running slower and slower, the game will crash. This happens every single time. Installing the specific 1.9 build of optifine did nothing, that time it even crashed while I was in menu, trying to downgrade any settings I could find to make it easier to run. 1.8 still runs completely fine.

I tried updating java, geforce and intel. None of those have helped. Neither has changing the allocated ram from 1 to 2.

Please attach the crash report.

I tried to get it to crash again, but like a dog, refused to perform when it counted. It's running slightly better now, gone from 0-5 fps to an average of 10-30: I'm still getting a lot of frame dropping though. It didn't seem to relate to what I was doing, even standing still the fps would drop down to 10 or so. I did notice that it reported it was using under 15% of the allocated memory at all times, is there anything I could do to make it use more of what's available?

RAM has very little to do with performance, and you can't "force" it to use more. It will use as much as it needs. Considering your performance is so poor, my guess would be that the game is running off your intel graphics instead of Nvidia. Try perhaps following a guide such as this to configure nvidia optimus. If that won't help, you should ask for assistance at tech support.
