Hello,
I am encountering a critical issue when launching Minecraft Dungeons via Steam. The game displays authentication error 0x89245104 (Xbox Live), followed by error 0059 (unable to verify game ownership).
Here are the steps I have already taken to try and resolve the issue:
Verified the link between my Steam account and my Xbox account (profile: Matcha GreenFox).
Completely cleared the Windows Credential Manager (removed the old account and all "Xbl" tokens).
Verified sign-in status on the Microsoft Store and the Xbox app using the primary account ([email protected]).
Manually started the "Xbox Live Auth Manager" service in Windows Services (services.msc).
Repaired and reset the Xbox app via Windows Settings.
Performed a clean uninstall and reinstall of "Gaming Services" using the PowerShell command "Remove-AppxPackage".
Cleared the Microsoft Store cache (wsreset.exe).
Updated the "Xbox Identity Provider" component.
Used the Gaming Services repair tool built into the Xbox app.
Despite all these steps, background authentication consistently fails. Could you please help me resolve this issue and restore access to my game?
Best regards,
Matcha Green Fox

Let me clarify.
It’s not that I can’t link the account—the account is already linked.
The main issue is that it fails to synchronize the license.
And I can’t access the link itself.
I'm getting hit with both errors one after the other.
And despite playing for three hours, I haven't made it past the login screen because it just won't go any further.
