Version duplicate

There is a duplicate rd in the launcher. The version called "rd-20090515" is a duplicate of the version called rd-161348

This problem can be noticed because the version named rd-20090515 has exactly the same gameplay.

I would like to know why this happened and how, because rd-20090515 cannot be found anywhere at the moment. I would really appreciate if you replaced it with the actual rd-20090515.

rd-161348 was made a day after this version and it is flat with a stone floor. rd-20090515 has more complicated world generation.

See the pictures under from both.

Thank you,

Monninen1.

Same kind of an problem, but NOT the same.

Please do not mark unreleased versions as affected.
You don't have access to them yet.

They are not quite the same version, as there are small differences between them.

As for what happened and why, I don't think many people knows other than Notch himself. This is an over 10 year old version of Minecraft, even before Mojang existed. We will not invest time in making other than the released pre-versions of Minecraft that are available today, if any more exist.

The hashes of the client jars are identical, meaning both versions are identical. The differences in dependencies and name given in the launcher 4 YEARS after this version came to existence do not change the fact that rd-161348 and the so called rd-20090515 are the same version.

About the dependencies: rd-161348 runs just fine without launchwrapper and asm-all, because it simply doesn't require both of them, so it's not a surprise that the so called rd-20090515 doesn't need them to run.
TL;DR the additional dependencies declared in the rd-161348's json are redundant.

I suggest to finally fix this issue and remove the duplicate rd-20090515 from the launcher.
Not only is its name misleading (it's not a version from 15th May), but also the name's format is not universal (rd-yyyyMMdd instead of rd-ddHHmm)
