After launching minecraft and selecting game in either single or multiplayer mode. The terrain doesn't load. The game sits empty and says Minecraft 1.14.1 not responding. Prior to using 1.14.1 I was on 1.8.9 and it happens now on that version as well.
I can get it to work by going to the task manager and ending one of the Minecraft Launcher processes, as long as I end the process before actually starting the game.
Steps taken:
Uninstalled Minecraft including .minecraft folder, uninstalled Java.
Reinstall Minecraft, tried both Windows version.
Adjusted Render distance as well. Only ending duplicate process helps.
To Reproduce:
Open Task Manger and go to details
Launch Minecraft on Windows 10, with the Launcher.
Notice 3 instances of the launcher process running.
Click Play - Notice one of the processes ends, leaving two running.
At this point either Mojang loads or it says not responding.
If not responding, I End Task on one of the Minecraft Launcher processes and then Minecraft starts.
If it does load, then I select either single or multiplayer select game and then it doesn't respond.
So, regardless of whether Mojang loads on first attemp or not, you must end one of the duplicate processes in order for it to work.
The launcher is supposed to run several processes. If you mess with them, things may not work.
If the game consistently fails to start, please log a Minecraft bug.
