Older versions crash on release IN DIFFERENT GAME DIRECTORY

I am attempting to run 1.8.9 and it is not running, I am attempting to run it in a different directory, and it just doesn't work.

Please try the following:

  1. Install java-1_8_0-openjdk (this can be done by running zypper install java-1_8_0-openjdk)

  2. Click "Installations" in the launcher

  3. Click an installation in the list

  4. Click more options

  5. Specify "/usr/lib64/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0/jre/bin/java" as the java executable to use

  6. Save and try to play
