For the longest time, I have had the output log enabled, but a few months ago I noticed that it no longer automatically scrolls to the bottom when a new log entry is created. About 3 month ago, I had Ubuntu dual booted on my computer, and this issue didn't occur there on the on older new launcher (before the new dark themed launcher). However I no longer have a dual boot and cannot confirm that this issue doesn't occur on Ubuntu. Can confirm it occurs on Windows 10 however.

if it is intended, thats an odd choice, most output logs or similar things automatically attempt to scroll to the bottom, such as the web console of developer tools in chrome, chat services like discord, skype or IRC chats that append new messages to the bottom, and other things like that.
If I understand it correctly, the issue previously was that when you wanted to check out some messages further above while the game was still running, it would kick you back down as soon as a new message arrived, making it impossible to do so if you had a new message appearing very frequently (which is common if you work with commands).
log window should autoscroll if you scroll to the bottom. But if you're not in bottom, it shouldnt scroll at all.
Please confirm that this is not the case and i'll have a look.
it now appears to autoscroll, but only after you manually scroll to the bottom, it should autoscroll unless you scroll up
@unknown It's working as intended. You need to scroll to the bottom once and then it'll attach to the bottom when new lines are coming in. Closing this.
As far as I know, this was an intended change. I'm not too sure though.
