invalid? outdated? men we are talking about the integrated backwards compatibility this issue havent happening on the launcher before the actual one this is not only about 1 version that may be expected but no it happens with all the alpha versions and is obviously not an issue of the game because again the game used to work fine before in both 2010 and 2018 so that's why i posted this HERE because is clear that the problem is not coming from the game is about the launcher that is not getting the needed resources in order to make alpha versions run as intended
The crash report you posted shows that this crash is caused by the game itself, which obviously cannot be fixed since it's an old version that is no longer updated. The launcher cannot change anything with the game itself crashing.
Do you use the same folder for alpha versions and regular versions? If so, I strongly recommend that you use separate game directories for separate versions. This might also be the solution for your problem, as the internal folder and file structure has changed dramatically over the years.
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Invalid.
Your Minecraft version is outdated. We currently take issues for version 1.14.4 and the latest snapshot.
Please update to the latest version as it includes the newest fixes. If you still have this problem after updating, then please create a new issue.
