Tried to Play Minecraft today and after the Launcher Updated it Immediately Crashed!
I found a log file with this in it : Failed to read skins file: C:~\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher_skins.json
Then I looked and could not find that file anywhere on my drives.
I found this Possible workaround in another issue and it worked for me I have resolved MY issue -
Possible workaround: Delete the launcher_profiles.json file from .minecraft and try to launch the launcher.
