libgconf-2.so.4 is a requirement of your new launcher. I do not have gnome installed. I will not be installing the 284659283469527345 terabytes of gnome libraries that it requires. I am therefore utterly incapable of launching the game I PAYED YOU FOR!
The legacy launch gets permanently stuck at "preparing" and none of the forums i have read where this issue have cropped up have solved this for me.
YOUR incompetence is preventing me from playing this game which I paid good money for. Why do you need gnome.conf in the first place, your demanding I have bloatwarre installed is not appreciated.
We have now removed gconf from our dependencies.
