[MCL-14000] I have been trying to launch Minecraft but it keeps giving me an error

Failed to load URL mojang://java-launcher/index.html with error ERR_FAILED (-2).

this is the link that keeps popping up whenever I try to launch Minecraft. I have reinstalled it several times and deleted all old Minecraft related files. This is on my Mac OS Java version

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCL-11142, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.

I looked at the way the previous ticket had been solved but I am not able to find my launcher log.txt file on my Mac anywhere. Therefore, I am not able to upload it anywhere. Is here anything I could do to fix this issue it is kind of urgent. thank you
