Unable to update Minecraft Native Launcher

I go to open Minecraft. I get the error in attachments. I have used the trick of going to properties, go to compatibility, force it to go to Vista, apply, go to reopen, and once open, close it and switch it back, and it has worked in the past. But now that won't work. I have tried to uninstall to reinstall but it won't let me due to the exact same issue it is currently giving me, saying cant connect to update launcher. I have gone to Mojang website and reinstalled the launcher, open it, and asked it to repair, but to no avail. I am only opening this ticket cause I haven't found a solution in any of the other open tickets similar to this issue. Please help as I play with my kids and now I can't.
