[MCL-16447] Selected version of the game is always the newest snapshot, no matter how many times a different version is launched.

Every time I open the launcher, Newest Snapshot is always selected. I play mainly on optifine, so I wanted to check if this happens because of it, but when I launched other official versions it also selects Newest Snapshot next time I open the launcher.

The selection is based on your latest launched installation. So if the last version you started was Latest snapshot, then this will be the selected version when you start the launcher. Is this not the case for you? Do you use any third-party launchers that might interfere?

I don't use external launchers. I forgot to write this: no matter what version I last played, the launcher always selects Latest Snapshot. My actuall last started version is 1.16.4 I've also tried starting 1.11, 1.12 and even infdev. It doesn't matter which version I start the launcher always selects latest snapshot when I open it next time.

Update: While trying to close Infdev it crashed and now instead of selecting Latest Snapshot every time, it selects Infdev. I'm very confused... I've tried crashing 1.16.4 (holding F3+C), but it still selects infdev.

Are you sure your versions are sorted by "Last played", not "Name"? You can check in the "Installations" tab.

Have you tried to install Launcher from the Microsoft Store?
