The app is taking forever to download the clients and after the download is complete, it shows "Finished" while the progress bar is at 95% and it takes a too much, soon or late the game will launch but it wasn't that slow before the update...

you have to clear out your .minecraft folder, its a pain, and has happened to me many times.
