While I was playing Minecraft I decided to play on older versions. While I was playing I wanted to go back to the newest version, but when I closed out of the game It wouldn't let be open the Launcher back up. Every time I open the Launcher this System Error pops up. I already tried reinstalling The Minecraft Launcher, but that didn't do anything.

I can also confirm this issue. Both VCRUNTIME140.dll & MSVCP140.dll appear in my System32 contrary to the messgae displayed by the windows. My launcher version was updated to 2.2.2529 which caused this exact issue.
Same. This is the exact same problem I'm getting. My launcher updated earlier and it broke again, I got the same issue on April 20, it was solved by them reverting the update, but now it just came up again
