added a screenshot of the bug using latest launcher version as of writing (2.2.3106)

I reported this on MCL-18031, hence can confirm for launcher version 2.2.3106 (Windows)

@unknown Hello, just to be sure: MCL-17432 is an older ticket for launcher versions 2.2.2529 (Windows), 2.2.2530 (Mac), 2.2.2528 (Linux), however the fix was for 2.2.27xx which was in Beta (see violine's comment), but the issue we have is with a newer launcher version, namely 2.2.3106 (Windows), so this bugpost here is a clone/re-occurrence, but not a dupe..?

I've just double checked and I can reproduce this on 2.2.3106 but not on the beta version of the launcher so it looks lime MCL-17432 still applies even though the fix versions are possibly the wrong versions.

Can you see if this is the same for you?

@unknown I'm a bit confused 🙂
The launcher update was, as always, automatical, the release version, and the generic user doesn't download Beta-versions of the launcher.
The reported bugged launcher version of MCL-17432 was an older version, and the mentioned launcher fix version was also an older version than the one we report here.

If you really want me to, of course I can download the Beta version of the current launcher to test, but even if it would work there, this doesn't make this bugpost here a Duplicate (in my personal opinion, you mods may have other rules).

I just thought it would be important to have this bug registered as re-occurring, as, going by what violine wrote, this must be the case here.

Will report back after downloading the Beta-launcher.

@unknown Both bugs (first 2 tables' textfont appearing in black plus game output not filling whole window) are indeed fixed in the current Beta-launcher version 2.2.3125 Wednesday, June 9, 2021, 6:29:32 PM, however I will now disable Beta-launcher again, as this is the Default for the majority of users, I'd reckon.

I think we are all confused here as this bug was stated as fixed with the older launcher version than we report here, just to try to detangle the issue we have of understanding why you resolved this bugpost as duplicate 🙂

I've asked internally regarding the fixed versions. I resolved this as a duplicate though since it's the same issue and the part about it being fixed in the beta still applies, it's just the fix versions are misleading.

EDIT: I've added the current beta to fixed versions 🙂

The launcher version numbers are very misleading. From what I can tell, 2.1.3106 is based on 2.1.2529 and just includes an additional hotfix for Java 16, and doesn't include the other changes from the beta.

The version numbers would probably be more accurate this way (based on my observations from comparing the versions)

Actual version number

Theoretical, more intuitive version number

2.2.2528 - 2.2.2530

2.2.0

2.2.2724 - 2.2.2730

2.3.0-beta1

2.2.2803 - 2.2.2806

2.3.0-beta2

2.2.3103 - 2.2.3106

2.2.1

2.2.3123 - 2.2.3125

2.3.0-beta3

The version numbers you see in the launcher are actually more closer to builds, so they don't actually reflect what the feature set is atm :/

@unknown Thanks for clearing that up, that's indeed absolutely confusing, any "normal" person would think that the last 4 digits indicate the progression of launcher versions.
That means, if the next launcher release version will yet again not have the other changes of the other Beta you mentioned (the one which is a 2.3, not a 2.2.x-launcher version) implemented, there'll be new reports of this bug.

Thank you again, also to @unknown for asking 🙂

Youmiel
