Hello,
I booted up my launcher on Ubuntu 20.04.2 today, and it gave me the following error:
[media]I immediately upgraded to the most recent version of the Minecraft Launcher, and the same error occurred.
I cannot play the game now, as I'm not sure what the issue is.
Hoping for a fix soon. Thanks!

Update:
I turned off my VPN, and the launcher started working, downloading the full game.
