Hello,
I receive an error after just downloading the minecraft launcher. I purchase minecraft sometime ago, and am no re downloading the launcher. The error appears on the initial launcher page and reads " Whoops! Sorry, something went terribly wrong and you probably encountered a bug. Please file a report here,"

Give the launcher a restart, see if that fixes it.

I uninstalled the launcher and re-installed and it appears to be working now.
