I own the Java Edition of Minecraft, but the new launcher wont let me play

I downloaded the new launcher and finished the installation, but every time I try to open it, it pops up with "Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here's the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001"

If anyone knows a fix to this problem, please reply with it because I am entirely locked out of playing Java Edition.

Update: A commenter on another post figured out the issue

MCL-19984 didn't help me with my problem. Like I said, I can't even open the launcher. I verified which email I used to migrate and nada. I also don't have multiple Microsoft accounts so it couldn't be that either. I don't know if I its because I'm using Windows 10 or what not, but everything I try doesn't work.

or to make it simple

  1. Update Windows to the Windows 10 Version 20H1 (May 2020) Update or later.

  1. Delete the account files in the following folder: %systemdrive%\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker\Accounts.

  1. Take a backup copy of %systemdrive%\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy\Settings\settings.dat, then delete it.

  1. Sign out of your device, then sign back in.

This is how I fixed this issue on my own machine.
