You can't create a desktop shortcut for the new Minecraft Microsoft Launcher. You can only ping it in the Task Bar. Also, searching for the folder where is it to create it from there doesn't work beacuse that folder is protected.

There is a solution to this. You can right click the start button, then click "run", then put "Shell:AppsFolder" and enter. Doing that will open a folder, right click the Minecraft Launcher in the folder, then click "Create Shortcut"
I couldn't find it because it was so small, I changed the screen background colour and was able to see it!
