with fabric and with mods minecraft it says game crashed

Try Deleting the .minecraft folder entirely from %appdata%
make sure to move your world/resource pack/ etc.. folders to a safe location before this

Then go uninstall minecraft and go install either the new launcher from the Microsoft Store or from Download for Windows 7/8

Download the windows 7/8 version and that will be the old launcher
