I just bought the game and after installing, it says "Failed to check for game dependencies." And when I try to press play, I get sent to an error tab (image below).

I purchased the Minecraft launcher version. I tried reinstalling the game multiple times, restarting my computer, and reinstalling the launcher. My internet is working fine and I have tried multiple different ones including my hotspot and none have worked. I was using windows 10 yesterday, but updated overnight and I am now on windows 11, and the same issue is happening.
Are you using the new Minecraft launcher, or the old one?
