Won't open in Pop!_OS 21.04

Regardless of installation avenue the current native launcher will not work with Pop 21.04. I've tried from minecraft.net (both .deb and .tar.gz). I've tried from the Pop Shop. I've tried using snapd. I tried these various options thinking maybe it was a package issue. It apparently is not. I recently updated to this version of the OS, so I thought that may have broken something-- nope. Tried again with a fresh install and still no dice. I've tried some of the work arounds from other launcher bugs in linux to no avail. Upon first installation of the launcher the window will open and start installing updates, then it just closes and the minecraft-launcher service keeps running in the background, with nothing graphically happening on the screen. It may be worth noting 2 instances of minecraft-launcher are always in system monitor, one active and one sleeping. After this initial run of the window, even if you kill the processes, nothing happens when running the launcher again either through the terminal or through clicking the icon in apps. I can get the game to run, but only through a non-supported 3rd party launcher. I will leave the bootstrap_log.txt, launcher_log.txt, and launcher_settings.json in attachments.

I am trying out another distribution currently with Linux Mint 20.2 and this problem exists here as well. It could possibly be an issue within Ubuntu as they are both based on Ubuntu, or it is an issue with my specific hardware/driver configuration causing errors with the minecraft launcher.

Hi there!
Does this issue still occurs on the newest version of the Launcher?
Have you tried updating/reinstalling hardware drivers on your PC?
What java version are you using? Does updating/downgrading Java make any difference?
Have you tried deleting .minecraft folder and installing Launcher again?
Could you please provide a video of this issue?
