Yesterday, when I opened Minecraft Launcher, I saw message "Oh no! Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to the minecraft services". When I click "Try again", nothing happens. I bought Minecraft Java Edition in 2019 and in 2021 I migrated to Microsoft. After migration I hadn't got any problems and was able to play Minecraft. I reinstalled Launcher, java, deleted all files in .minecraft, but problem still exists. And yes, this is exactly the account on which the game was purchased.
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Screenshots:
1) Notification about error and button "Play demo" instead of "Play":

Same is happening for me, Windows 7. It worked the day before and no changes were made to my system, java or minecraft installations.
This needs resolution asap
What did Microsoft do to foul this up?
[EDIT] - I managed to get it fixed, I installed the latest java release.

Hi, i have same problem too with the launcher update on windows 8.1, my launcher is blocked on "play offline" with the error "Oh no! An error occurred and we were unable to establish a connection to Minecraft services. Try again"... It do that with my migrated microsoft account but it works well with my other old mojang account... I have friends who can't play to with notification about error and button "Play demo" instead of "Play". However, on a windows 10 all seems works....
Please, could you fix that.

FIX/WORKAROUND BY USING MULTIMC LAUNCHER (HAD TO UPDATE TO JAVA 17)
ISSUE
Same issue here, Windows 7 system. Bought Minecraft Java Edition around 2017, migrated 2021. No issues until the last 2 days.
"Can't connect to Minecraft services" error in launcher. First it displayed "Play offline" option, today shows "Play demo", no longer recognizes that I bought Minecraft even when logging in to Microsoft succeeded. (fixed using the workaround above in red)
ATTEMPTS AT FIXING (NO SUCCESS)
Logging in/out, restarting the launcher, reinstalling Minecraft, removing all third party Minecraft clients, restarting PC, restarting router, switching Minecraft accounts, switching to a different computer, PC malware scans.
