Upon trying to open Minecraft today on a Mac Book Pro from mid-2012 (macOS Sierra version 10.12.6) the launcher failed to open. When trying to work around the issue I noticed the Application Support location for Minecraft was completely missing.
While there has been an announcement posted today , it shouldn't affect older hardware playing older versions as it has.
Yesterday Minecraft was working fine, and the launcher was able to open no problems on the Mac Computer, however, now, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher refuses to open.
Is there a workaround or an older static version of the launcher that doesn't kill itself on trying to update?
When the launcher is opened via the launcher.exec the terminal reads "Unable to load nib file: NativeUpdater, exiting"
